Logrida

How to play

A logic grid puzzle is a little story about a few people, things and moments that belong together. Each clue tells you something about who goes with what. With pure reasoning (no guessing) there is exactly one way to fill the grid.

The grid

The grid compares every category with every other one. Each small block pairs two categories, for example friends and treats.

In every block, each row and each column has exactly one ●: every friend has exactly one treat, and every treat belongs to exactly one friend.

Marks

Yes: these two belong together. Placing a ● crosses out the rest of its row and column in that block (you can switch this off).
No: these two do not belong together.
Pencil marks for ideas you are not sure about yet (press P).

Kinds of clues

Positive
“Noor sells the muffins.” Put a ● in that cell.
Negative
“Sam is not at the entrance.” Put a ✕ in that cell.
Order
“The waffle stall opens before Timo's.” Use the ordered category (times, days, places in a row) to rule things out on both sides.

A small example

Three friends, three treats:

  1. Ann does not have the pear.
  2. Ben has the apple.

Ann✕✕●
Ben●✕✕
Cas✕●✕
  1. Clue 2: ● for Ben and apple. That crosses out the other fruit for Ben and the apple for Ann and Cas.
  2. Clue 1: ✕ for Ann and pear. Ann's only option left is the kiwi: ●.
  3. Cas gets what is left: the pear. Every row and column now has one ●: solved!

Stars and streaks

One star for solving, one for beating the star time, one for solving without extra clues or Check.

Solve the daily puzzle on consecutive days to build a streak. One missed day per week is forgiven as a rest day.
