Privacy
Logrida works without an account. If you create one, we store a little more; everything is listed here.
Stored in your browser (localStorage)
| Key | What it holds |
|---|---|
logrida:anon | A random guest id, so your solves can be counted for your streak. It is not linked to your name, email or device. |
logrida:game:<puzzle>:<language> | Your grid, undo history, timer and ticked clues for one puzzle, so you can continue later. |
logrida:play:<puzzle>:<language> | The id of your game on our server, the extra clues you revealed and your result. |
logrida:notes:<puzzle>:<language> | Your notebook text for that puzzle. It never leaves your device. |
logrida:feedback:<puzzle>:<language> | That you rated this puzzle, so we do not ask again. |
logrida:howto-dismissed | That you closed the “How it works” box. |
logrida:theme | Your colour theme choice (light, dark or automatic). |
Stored on our server
For each game: the guest id above, the puzzle, the language, when you started, the extra clues you revealed and, when you solve it, your time, stars and number of checks. We use this to verify results, compute your streak and improve the difficulty of future puzzles.
If you rate a puzzle (too easy, just right, too hard) or report a problem, we store only your rating or your text with the puzzle and the language: not your guest id and not your IP address.
For abuse protection we count requests per minute per IP address. These counters are deleted after an hour.
If you sign in
You can sign in with Google or with a code we send to your email address. We then store your email address, how you sign in, and for each sign-in the time, IP address and browser (kept 90 days, so you can spot sign-ins that were not you). Signing in with Google gives us your email address only; we do not get your Google password or contacts.
While you are signed in, your browser keeps a sign-in cookie for logrida.com. It is only used to keep you signed in. Signing out removes it, together with the game data stored on that device.
Your games and solves are linked to your account so your progress follows you to other devices. On your account page you can download all of this data or delete your account; deleting removes it for good.
Where
Our database runs on Supabase in the European Union. The website is hosted by Vercel.
Analytics
We count page views and game events (such as “puzzle solved”, with a rough time and the number of stars) with Plausible Analytics. Plausible uses no cookies and stores no personal data or IP addresses.
Error reports
When something breaks, an error report may be sent to Sentry. We remove puzzle answers, your grid, hints and your guest id from these reports.
No ads, no tracking
There are no advertisements and no third-party trackers.
Your choices
Clearing your browser's site data removes everything stored in your browser, including your guest id. Write to hello@logrida.com to have the server data for your guest id removed.
